bloomienia began in 2018 when founder Elena Tan returned to Singapore after studying landscape architecture and interior design in Melbourne. Having experienced the profound impact of biophilic design in Australian residential spaces, she recognized an opportunity to adapt these principles for Singapore's unique urban environment and tropical climate.
The studio's early projects focused on helping apartment dwellers incorporate meaningful botanical elements into their homes. Elena worked closely with local horticulturists to identify plant species that could thrive in air-conditioned environments while maintaining their aesthetic appeal. These collaborations formed the foundation of our current approach, which balances visual sophistication with realistic care requirements.
In 2020, we expanded our services to include comprehensive residential projects, developing relationships with premium material suppliers and specialist craftspeople. This growth allowed us to offer more integrated solutions where botanical elements work harmoniously with luxury furnishings and architectural features.
